I'm Sick of Being Sick

Last week was supposed to be our first family vacation. We were all ready to head off to San Antonio for my Music Convention and literally when Jeremy went to put gas in the car and we were about to load up I started puking my guts out. I know, at least if happened before we left but we were so psyched to go on this trip. We hadn't completely prepared Gage for the trip which was good because he really didn't know what happened. I think he was just glad to have Mommy and Daddy home for 5 straight days.

Yep, for 5 straight days we stayed in our pajamas and bummed around the house. Just when we thought enough time had passed and no one else was going to get sick, Jeremy got the flu. Talk about luck. We just hope and pray it doesn't get to the kids

TV Freaks

As you can see Jeremy and I are TV freaks!!! Before kids we were movie freaks but since we're stuck at home we have found the world of TV. The writers strike has put quite a damper on our viewing pleasure especially since we finally got both kids to bed before 8 o'clock. However, there are still a few on that we must tune in to see. I don't know if anyone else has discovered the show Psych but if you are a kid of the 80's this is a must see. There hasn't been a show yet when they haven't dropped some quote from the good ole days or had a flashback to the way things were. Gus and Sean are truly people after our own heart. Jeremy and I have said many times we would love to meet the people who write for the show. Jeremy and I had a very different experience at Playhouse Disney than Gage did. I'm just glad that he is too young to know how screwed up everything was. I ordered the tickets online back in November. When January rolled around and I still hadn't received them I called and was told that they would be at Will Call. We arrived 20 minutes early assuming that would be sufficient time to get our tickets, buy a few things, and enjoy the cartoons before the play. WE WERE WRONG!!!. They didn't just not mail my tickets but everyone's tickets. Needless to say the line was outrageous. Once we finally made the curve to the window a guy came out and announced Will Call at the next window. Every one that was behind us then ran in front of us. We once again assumed that they were opening another line so we stayed in our line. Nope!! as soon as we got to the window we found out that they moved the Will Call line. So we ended up at the end of that line. One would have assumed that with all of the cluster going on with the tickets they would have waited to start the show. No again! We ended up missing the beginning of the show and had to get to our seats in the dark which isn't easy with a 3 yr old. The whole time this was going on Gage was perfect. No whining (which is very unusual for him) and he was such a trooper. I'm glad that he was still able to enjoy the show. Us not so much!

Well Jeremy and I have decided to do our own blog. We know that we are not as cute or exciting as our kids but some of you may wonder what we're up to as well. Right now we are up to changing poopy diapers, wiping runny noses, and picking up toys so that we don't trip and break our necks. As you can see we are paying homage to the 80's with our Goonies template. Long live Sloth!!!!
